Hello Robert. Finally getting back with you. Sorry it took so long but I wanted to make sure the cables were settled.

Everything was just as you said. I didn't need the shield and yes, these do sound great. A far cry better than my Nordost or Kimber KCAG's. I'm using the Reference in my main system but I did try them in my smaller set up. I wasn't expecting a very big difference but man, I didn't know my smaller system could sound that good. I think what I'm going to do soon is put your Reference cables in my small system and then try the Symphonia or Midnight Silvers in my main set up. What do you think?

In my main system the first thing I noticed was how different the bass sounded. Clean and quick...nice! I noticed too how the bass fits better with everything else instead of "hey...there's the bass". It just seems to be part of the whole picture now where before it wasn't. Not a huge difference in the midrange. My Nordost cables were pretty good in this area. With the Reference there's a little more presence and there's more of a see through quality. I like it...I'll take it! The treble really took me back. It's like there's power and presence in this range. I don't mean like "loud and thrust at you" sounding. Everything just kind of snaps the way you hear it in real life. I didn't realize how tired I was of my rock recordings but now it's like hearing this stuff the way it was supposed to sound. It doesn't put me off if you know what I mean.

I told you how important soundstaging was to me. With my accoustic recordings it's like I'm there. Lot's of fun here. You're right, these are transparent. Everthing on the soundstage is where it's supposed to be and I don't find myself listening to speakers. I hate listening to speakers. I don't even have to close my eyes now, my system just seems to dissapear much better. This is COOL!

I really don't know what else to say except what you mentioned about chasing the cable rabbit. The biggest kudos I can give to you is to say I'm done chasing. Thanks! I look forward to the speaker cables. I'll let you know about them after I've had them for a while.

Sincerely,
Bo Orsbrook
