Education and Workshops
When Shannon isn’t writing, she is teaching writing or developing courses about writing. Shannon earned her BA in English at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon, in 1992, and her MA in Professional Writing at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA, in 2001. Shannon currently teaches and does course development work for a variety of clients.
Shannon is also available to present writing and how-to-teach writing workshops for adults and K-12 students, educators, and administrators. Shannon is available for school visits in relation to her picture book, Not in Room 204, and to speak to adult audiences about childhood sexual abuse.
