I wrote this several years ago in an attempt to better understand and explain my experience: The way I felt I processed information. Until recently I had never shared this with anyone. When I allowed other multiples to read it they thought it expressed how they also processed information, to some degree. Reality Residence Members (parts myself) reside or exist on a spectrum divided into fragments of past realities. The spectrum stretches from one extreme of social and anti-social coping behaviors. Sociable members are protected from the reality of anti-social realities, since there are strongly learned sociable behaviors. Reality has taught the members what is required of them, in one form or another, thus building their strength, the walls. This is the reason why, even when co-existing in reality, sociable behaviors take precedence, and the host, usually, appears quite healthy to outsiders. Filing System Active File Inactive File The wall Collision Members become overwhelmed and tainted due to the collision of reality and past reality. The collision of reality, with that in purgatory, can send a member straight to hell. Unable to differentiate the two, the hosting member may act out. Acting out may be uncharacteristic of the member, but may be driven by the members who may have shared the original reality or similarities thereof. Dangerously acting upon the tainted layers of one’s self is actively monitored by those members who have safe methods of coping. Members who may not commonly dwell on ending their world, may be party to the idea, because of the layers of one’s self and the spectrum on which they reside. Tainting one’s self, the layering of emotions, may be confusing to an outsider who may not recognize the purity of hosting member. The acting out of fierce anger may not be part of one’s make-up, but offered and shared, as a mechanism to cope with the situations brought on by the collision. Even when not party to, a host or observer of, a member may appear alive with the passages of realities. In the first person, rather than the third, the acting out tends to add to the confusion of the outside observer and is most troubling to the purity of the host. The collision may appear to provide a whole person whom is acting to the concept, in sorts. But as time passes, the feelings, thoughts and concepts are sorted, divided and stored. Emotional abuse. - Even when the entire world tells one’s self that they are bad, they are also telling one’s self how to behave sociably. As long as the words and the actions can be dissected and stored into separate areas of the spectrum, one’s self can be taught through words the importance of being good. The words tell one’s self that bad things happen to bad people. Therefore one must be very good. One has learned never tell anyone that they have done or have been party to bad things. One has learned to never ever act bad in reality or it will proven that one is bad. The essence of charading as a good person to reality can be exhausting. The whole concept is confusing to those who are experiencing collision. The utter thought of past realities depict the badness in one’s self. A damnation that one was so bad and acted so bad and they were continually taught to be good. Self blame and dwelling. Seeking out the truths and running from them. The entire process of living, learning and changing is exhausting. Reality tends to repeat itself in subtle ways.
