C. S. R. A. is an acronym for Central Savannah River Area and is used extensively in the region.
The C. S. R. A. Flyers is an A. M. A. chartered club (#226), located in Augusta, Georgia. Our flying site is approximately ten miles south of the city on Horseshoe Road, just off Highway 56. We have a 200 x 20 foot paved runway located on a large cleared field. Our "Control Tower" impound provides a sheltered area on each side with bench seats and large assembly tables.
Club member interests include sport flying, helicopters, sailplanes, and pattern. In the past, our club conducted one contest each year, in April, for Senior Pattern Association events. The status of future contests is undetermined at this time. (For more comprehensive information about the Senior Pattern Association, visit the Senior Pattern Association page.)
Our club meeting is held quarterly on the third Thursday at a time and place specified in the club newsletter. During the summer months, the meeting is usually held early in the evening at the club field.
