Now Unlocking the Apple IPhone
This service will NOT work for the Verizon Sprint Qwest or Cricket Cell phones. This is for GSM Phones Only (Global System for Mobile Communications GSM). If your phone does not use a SIM Card this service is not for you.

A locked phone means your phone is locked to a specific network provider. This means you can only use the SIM card from that one specific network provider. If you want to use a SIM from another provider, your phone will reject it. For example, if you have service with T-Mobile Wireless and your contract is over and you want to move to Cingular. Even though you paid for your phone, you will not be able to use it with Cingular because the phone will not accept the SIM.
If you have a GSM phone or a phone that uses a SIM card, you can unlock the phone to use any SIM. Take your phone from one GSM Network to another(T-Mobile to Cingular AT&T to Cingular etc..... You can also take an unlocked phone overseas , use your phone overseas with a prepaid SIM card and avoid high international roaming charges. You can even buy a European phone (New Cell phones are usually released in Europe before the US) unlock the phone and use it here. Have an old AT&T phone lying around? Unlock it and use it with Cingular or T-Mobile.
