What is a Locked Cell Phone ?

A locked phone means your phone is locked to a specific network provider. This means you can only use the SIM card from that one specific network provider. If you want to use a SIM from another provider, your phone will reject it. For example, if you have service with T-Mobile Wireless and your contract is over and you want to move to Cingular. Even though you paid for your phone, you will not be able to use it with Cingular because the phone will not accept the SIM.

What is Cell Phone Unlocking ?

If you have a GSM phone or a phone that uses a SIM card, you can unlock the phone to use any SIM. and unlike flashing a phone all you have to do is change the SIM card to change Providers if your phone is unlocked.
