Born over 60 years ago just north of Chicago, IL and raised on dairy farms in northern Illinois and Wisconsin, I served 28 years in the U.S. Navy and retired in 1986. Since then my "Navy Issue" wife, Mary and I have been enjoying the beautiful country and easy living of wild North West (wild in the sense that we get an occasional deer wandering through our yard).

Much of my time is spent researching my ancestors and other KATSCHKE family trees (I hope someday to show that most of us are related.)
