Charted Space is a variant of the Traveller universe using the GURPS Traveller rules set. This genre allows for the existance of magic (albeit very rare), and for types of technology that are not available in the "canon" Traveller universe. Charted Space Space is also a part of the GURPS Webworlds project. Charted Space's WebWorlds template can be viewed here.
A large portion of Charted Space is nearly identical to the standard Traveller universe. However, the Aldebaran sector is completely of my own design. Also, the Solomani Confederation has had a different, darker history.
