Raechel Coon

Hi, and welcome to my website.

Now to learn a bit about me.  My name is Raechel Lyn Brazil Coon.  I'm nearing my mid 30s, and living in coastal Massachusetts, and I born in the Ides of October.

My interests and hobbies include drawing (which I need to do more of), reading fantasy and science-fiction, going to conventions (s-f and furry), costuming, playing video games, watching good sci-fi TV (this doesn't take long ;) But I love Transformers/Beast Wars), collecting Transformers & anime dolls, watching anime, reading comics (specially furry and manga), used to spend a lot of time (and money) on Magic and other card games, and, of course spending too much time on the computer.

As to what I do for a living, I wish I could say I supported myself with my art, but it isn't so :(  But, hey you can help, see my commission page ;)  What I actually do is work at a bookstore, putting magazines out onto the magazine section for the most part, not the most exiting job ... but it pays the bills. (if barely...)

If those things seem like very "male" things to do, well that's because I've spent 28 of the past 33 years of my life living as one, and am now proceeding to change that to what I really am, female. :)  This is not an easy thing for me to do, but I finally felt that I HAD to do it or go insane, and/or be unhappy for the rest of my life.  It was very hard to admit to people, and myself, that I was a transsexual, but everyone, so far, has been very supportive of my decision. Lots of things made me come to this decision, Getting older, getting hit by a car ( I used to ride my bicycle to work and back (this was a big part of it)), finding and talking to others like me, coming out to friends and family, and then finding a very good therapist. :) My main trouble now, and I will go on about it, is money.  I knew that when I started this, but HAD to do it, money or no.  So far, so good...   :)

I came out at work and started living "full-time" up-front at the bookstore. It's wonderful!! My manager was behind me seemingly all the way in this. :) Hope it keeps up like it is now, nothing but positive reactions so far, and just got a promotion. :)

I recently moved to Massachusetts, and love it here, am much happier with the environs than when I lived In Albany, NY.  For one thing I'm only a few blocks from the beach.  I have a roommate now, and more importantly, have a boyfriend.  But I love him, although dating is much of mystery to me, being my first time an all.
