13th ANNUAL POETRY CONTEST

April 2008

This year will mark the 13th anniversary of the Rebecca M. Arthurs Memorial Library Poetry Contest. Since it's inception in 1995, the Contest has attracted poets and writers from Jefferson, Clarion, Clearfield and surrounding counties.

The Contest gives new and seasoned writers alike the opportunity to have their work judged by experienced writers, meet and make new writing friends, gain information on writing workshops and conferences in the area and be encouraged in their writing endeavors. Thanks to the continued sponsorship of local businesses, the Contest has become increasingly more popular over the years and a stepping-stone to success for many of its participants.
