History of the Shire Library (December 1987 CastleLore)
In 1985, Carolus deBec (the Drunken Priest) bought out the "Downtown Book
Store". He had Lady Aspasia organize it for him and gave her first pick for the
Shire. With a lot of help from Penrose and several days from Lady Kat, the books were gone
through, picked through and organized. Carolus got a good tax write-off. After that we got
healthy contributions of Society material from Lord HRothgar, Penrose and Lady Aspasia.
There were also contributions from Lord Arthur, Lady Cynthia, Lord Devlin, and Bran.
