DeepWoods Offroad (DWOR) is a family oriented, Minnesota based club participating in regional trail rides & events, full blown western rock crawling, and responsible off-roading activities located in the greater Minneapolis area.   The club was founded in the summer of 2001 in an effort  to expand the sport in Minnesota and continue to foster responsible off road natural resource management.  DWOR offers opportunities for 4x4 families residing in Minnesota and Western Wisconsin in:

• Trail riding
• Vehicle build-up assistance
• Trail and recreational area expansion/management
• Commoradory, and just plain fun!

Had a few club member candidates show up this week so the old timers got another chance to shoot the bull with the new guys.   Tipsy turns and hill climbs with little muddy water passes turned suddenly into multiple rollovers treking over mountain passes with mud bogs 6 feet deep!  Craig said he had a new wheeler -- a Sammi, I think he said.  But the only thing we could find was a little Hot Wheels Suzuki -- I think it was a toy for Jack.  Anyway, we will be looking for a trail ride soon so we can wheel with the new folks and just get out of the cold garage and into the trucks.  Bob will be sponsoring the first annual Summer Wind Invitational in Gilbert, welcoming in the summer wheeling season.  See the calendar for dates.

During our July meeting the club built a bullet-proof 30° RTI ramp.  We tested the ramp with John Wutschke's YJ and Craig's John Deer -- the JD almost beat the YJ!   We also voted in two new members/families:  Rich and Deb Oehme and Luke Jaszczak.
