Robert McDaniels, Team Captain, Head BrewmasterI few years ago I went to my first track day with my brother. I was hooked. I sold my M3 and got a cheaper BMW and a CRX . I built the CRX into a track toy and go to HPDE's, AutoX's, and Time Trials. Tarheel Sports Car Club and BMWCCA are a blast. After I became a track-head, my lovely wife bought me a Mr. Beer homebrew kit. She was trying to give me a new hobby and break my track addiction. It backfired. I now brew beer AND go to every track event I can. Oh, and I have 3 great kids and a wonderful job as a tech geek. |

Roger McDaniels, Chief Mechanical DesignWhen I was a boy, someone gave me a broken radio. The plastic case was shattered and wires were hanging out of it. I took it apart, mounted the circuit boards on a piece of half-inch plywood, and soldered the broken wires back together using my Dad's soldering iron. I built a box around it using more half-inch plywood; it measured 12"x8"x6", nice and big so I could use a big lantern battery to run it. The volume and tuner knob were mounted to a piece of flat plastic that I salvaged from the original case and mounted on top of the box. I cut a piece of an old leather belt and used it as a carrying strap. The only can of paint that we had in the garage was bright pink, so it got painted bright pink. When I took it places so I could listen to the radio while I played, the other kids would make fun of my giant pink radio. I found that swinging it by it's strap and hitting them with it was the most effective response, as it was very big, solid, and heavy. They fell down and cried for a while, but after that they stopped giving me shit about my radio. That's pretty much all that you need to know about me. There's other stuff; I'm a network engineer who builds and races cars. I enjoy long walks on the beach, puppies, and bear baiting, the usual stuff. Although I enjoy my puppies Malaysian style with a lot of curry in a pressure cooker, but who doesn't? |

Marc Osgood, The Fast GuyFor my 3rd birthday I was given a big wheel. I learned how to drive it on the streets of Lima, Peru my parents had no idea what they had done or where I went on that beast. I wore the wheels off that wonderful machine learning the dynamics of performance driving. Since then I have gone as fast as I can go on anything with wheels, especially civic's. In the quest for a better beer I've also been home brewing for a few years and will bring my expertise to assist in the making a great beer to bring to the event. |

Joshua Brooks "Skippy", The RingerJosh is a friend of a friend, that we discovered and he foolishly accepted our invitation, sucker. He has an impressive racing history, so we plan on strapping him in the car while the rest of us have a beer. Enjoy the race and make us winners Josh! |

Bill Wright, Marc's father-in-lawApparently Marc's wife can't trust him to walk down the street without parental supervision. So, his father-in-law is going with us under the guise of a crew member, to make sure Marc doesn't stuff pennies up his nose while he is not driving. |

Jenn Osgood, Marc's wifeLooks like it is a family affair for the Osgoods. Now they outnumber (but not outweigh) the McDaniels' brothers. At least they are the Osgoods and not the Osmonds. It is pretty cool that Jenn is actually into this racing thing, and not just merely tolerant of it. Good pick Marc. |
