The entire spring was spend building the new features in the backyard: gravel walkway, arbor, and new raised beds.

Michael's Chinese Tree Peony "Grand Duke Dressed in Purple and Blue" from Cricket Hill Garden, Thomaston, CT. Amazing fragrance.	The new front bed with the 120 daffodils planted last fall. Lovely!
The species tulips (origin: Turkey) lasted a very long time and are quite nice and will come back each year.	Fondly known as "the grave"...it is the new raised bed for the dahlias. This used to be covered in asphalt which we had ripped up and disposed of.
The new back arbor replaced a rusting chain link fence and gate. Silver lace vine is in the planters which is supposed to be covered in white flowers in August.	The new pea gravel walkway in the backyard looking up towards the new arbor.
