"Who am I and what are my credentials for creating this site?"
This is how I began my site about music in grad school, the answer to which, incidentally, was "absolutely zilch." As a matter of fact, though, I DO have credentials for THIS site, being that I am, in fact, a librarian. But most of the books in this list have nothing to do with being a librarian. They have to do with a lifetime of book addiction.

THE LIST (of books I've read), by amy, UPDATED NOVEMBER 2007!

This list is restricted to novels-- no nonfiction, no picture books (although a few of both snuck in since my local library apparently shelved them wrong). I made this list by going through the OPAC of my largest local public library and crossreferencing with NoveList and occasionally updating. Then I found the paper journal in which I'd kept a list of all the books I'd ever read from childhood that had BEEN ON THE BOOKSHELF DOWNSTAIRS THE ENTIRE TIME I'D GONE THROUGH THAT WHOLE PROCESS. So I found some more titles. So generally, it's a pretty complete list. Of novels. Not nonfiction or picture books. But I might have missed some. Not that you'll notice.

Click on the author's name to take you to my witty and enlightening comments about the author, the titles, or random other things vaguely related to that section of list. Please remember that these comments are merely my own opinions, and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of anyone else in the world, unless they happen to share my opinions, nor should they be taken personally, and are also not my opinions of the authors themselves, merely their writing (except Dav Pilkey and Theresa Nelson, in which case the opinions ARE more about the authors themselves than their writing, but they're good opinions so it's all okay). I'm a writer too, and will acknowledge that sometimes I write a lot of stuff that sucks. But that doesn't mean you don't like me.

The next question you ask is... "Why?" My answer is... Um... er... why... not?

By the way, if you have any comments, I've a guestbook at the bottom...
