Anime and Manga

"Anime" is Japanese animation, and "manga" are Japanese graphic
novels. There are many references on the web for more information,
so I'll just point out the most comprehensive ones I know, the
Anime Web Turnpike and the
Anime and Manga Resources List.
There are a few more anime and manga links on my
links page.
Anime series I have collected on video include:
Ranma 1/2,
Ah! Megami-sama
(Oh! My Goddess)
(the picture above is Belldandy from that series),
Kimagure Orange Road,
Tenchi Muyo,
Mermaid's Scar and Mermaid's Forest,
The Secret of Blue Water,
Urusei Yatsura,
Bubblegum Crisis,
Taiho Shichau Zo!
(You're Under Arrest),
and Vampire Princess Miyu.
These are manga and film comics I have that I'm working on translating:
Five Star Stories,
Marionette Generation,
The Secret of Blue Water,
Princess Mononoke,
The Ghost in the Shell,
My Neighbor Totoro,
and Kiki's Delivery Service.
I'm also translating magazine articles on
Neon Genesis Evangelion. I now have most of the
episodes on tape, and they are very good.
Newtype, April 1995, 'Skill Up'
Newtype, March 1996, 'Stray Children'
Nikkei Entertainment, August 1997,
'Death and Rebirth'.
To better understand manga, anime, and other parts of Japanese culture I'm
studying Japanese.
