Nadia Vol 3,3:
Three Episode Summaries

"The Secret of Blue Water" is the adventures of Nadia, a mysterious circus girl, and Jean, an inventive boy, with jewel thieves, Captain Nemo of the Nautilus, a world-domination-seeking secret society, and more. I have a set of color manga that was made from the anime series which I will be translating here bit-by-bit. This is part 3 of volume 3, containing three episodes that were presented in summary form.

Chapter 11: New Students on the Nautilus

Nadia of the Mysterious Seas Quick Overview Theatre

Chapter 11 portrays in a humorous way the activities of Nadia and friends, who have joined the crew of the Nautilus as apprentices, and it concludes with an artistic view of the drama of their daily lives.

Captain Nemo permits Nadia and the others to ride on the Nautilus as apprentice crew members.

Grandis takes great delight in attempting to cook for her "beloved Nemo." Jean sets his heart on the study of advanced science.

Concerning the pursuit of knowledge, Electra tells Jean that "As people have a good and evil side, so science can be used for good or evil."

Lectures begin on the internals of the Nautilus.

Grandis is delighted to be able to get close to her darling Nemo.

Even Nemo is startled by the intensity of the cooking Grandis does out of love.

The second in command tells of the importance of the way science is used.

Chapter 12: Grandis's First Love

Nadia of the Mysterious Seas Quick Overview Theatre

Grandis's love story portrayed in a digression from the main storyline(?)

A party lands on a small island to gather supplies.

That night, Grandis tells Nadia her memories of her first love. The only daughter of a wealthy man, she was deceived by a man and lost her entire fortune.

Jean, without meaning to (?) watches Nadia changing clothes.

Jean is hit by a stone Nadia throws. (Good shot.)

Grandis tells Nadia the memories of her first love.

She said that she grew up as the only daughter of a wealthy man.

But then, she was deceived by a man and lost her entire fortune.

All that she had left were her servants Sanson and Hanson.

Chapter 13: Run, Marie!

Nadia of the Mysterious Seas Quick Overview Theatre

The main point is a scene where Captain Nemo shoots and kills an enemy soldier before Nadia's eyes. Because of this, Nadia begins to harbor a deep distrust for him.

Marie, on an excursion into the interior of the island, encounters a Neo Atlantis soldier. Pursued by a crab-shaped robot, she is rescued by Sanson. Both of them get away on a hand-car.

When they have struggled back to where the rest of the group from the Nautilus are, the soldier who chased them is shot and killed by Captain Nemo. Nadia is shocked by this spectacle....

Illustration captions:

Marie is discovered by a Neo-Atlantis soldier!

A crab-shaped robot shows up. This island is an enemy base, too!?

Marie and Sanson get away on a hand-car.

Nemo shoots the pursuing soldier without any hesitation.

"Murderer!" cries Nadia when she gets this violent shock.
