Wood pot hangers made out of branches prove to be very useful!
Mark fabricates a chair out of logs. It is far more substantial than
Mikes attempt in past years.
A log, with a rotten center, is strung between two trees with a rope
running through it. As you lean up against it, it would roll on the
rope and massage your aching back!
Dave brings ingredients to make stew from scratch.
Quite a bit of snow falls overnight. There was precipitation falling
most of the trip. Dave finds that his poncho works well as it forms
a "micro-environment" around him
Mark, wearing an inverted plastic bag, makes a sign out of birch bark
that says "F--K Gore-Tex.
As the result of snow, Mike and Murray's trucks are buried behind
a snow bank. Mike hikes out a day early to get a jump on shoveling
out.
After the hike out, Mike discovers that he had set the emergency brake
and that it has frozen in place. After some rocking and rolling of
the truck, it becomes free.
Billy finds out that the cheap vinyl ponchos do not hold up well in
cold weather. They crack! |
