Roadrunner Software Solutions (RSS) is an Albuquerque, New Mexico based software development company with capabilities in software development, software engineering, and software project management. We effectively use these disciplines to produce and deliver quality custom software within budget and on schedule.

Our expertise is primarily in the development of data management and processing systems, real-time embedded control and data acquisition systems, and operator interfaces to COTS and custom systems, but we also have experience in development of many other types of systems and are always interested in challenging projects.

RSS has experience in developing a wide range of systems from fast prototype systems to large mission-critical systems following well-defined development processes. We believe in following a customer-focused development process that uses many of the aspects of Agile software development processes. For most projects we use an iterative development approach with evolutional prototypes to produce the final project with continuous customer feedback. This produces quality software that actually meets the customer’s needs where the most important tasks, as chosen by the customer, are developed, tested, and deployed first. RSS staff is experienced in working with little direction and in developing software with little in the way of formal requirements in the initial phases. We believe in honest estimates and feedback to the customer, and in continuous improvement in our methods and tools to meet customer’s changing requirements.

Technical lead, design, and development of the data analysis software (LSDAT) used by all data analysis staff of the Air Force’s Advanced Tactical Laser (ATL) program.

Design and development of the web-based Manpower Forecasting Tool for a Boeing site’s use.

Real-Time Embedded Control and Data Acquisition Systems:

Lead developer of the HERMES III Control and Monitor System to control the 15- terawatt HERMES III accelerator at Sandia National Laboratories.
Developed software used
in embedded multiprocessor systems for satellites in the Air Force's Technology for Autonomous Operational Survivability (TAOS) and Defense Meteorological Satellite (DMS) programs.
Lead developer of the IGGMDT buried land mine detection project.
State control logic for the Air Force’s Airborne Laser (ABL) Fire Control System.
Imaging sensor recording system for the Air Force’s Airborne Laser (ABL).

Operator Interfaces to COTS and custom systems:

Designed and developed more than 20 separate graphical user interfaces to COTS and custom systems, primarily in Java and C++.
