Just like the Good King Henry Stories, Roger's Bible Stories are written as if they were being told by Roger, an 18th Century Monk in the Court of our King. They are intended for a younger audience than the Good King Henry Stories, but hopefully may be enjoyed by all ages. They are adaptations of Scripture, and I embellish a bit here and there, so do not be surprised if King David knows Jesus; or the Prodigal Son runs away with the Gypsies. They are meant to amuse, but hopefully a little learning will also take place.
