Renee McCormick spent three years serving the lost, last and least of Atlanta as a volunteer for the City of Refuge. As she developed relationships and encouraged women to go into recovery for their addictions, she began to see a pattern. Ladies would go into an addiction recovery program, and in a short time, would be back out on the streets. They had no place to go and no support system in place to empower their recovery. The Grant Park House of Hope was opened in May of 2005 in response to the desperate need for a positive and safe, structured environment for women to take the next step to recovery.
OUR VISION is to restore hope, health and life to women with addictions through the transforming power of Jesus Christ.
OUR MISSION is to offer a loving discipleship living environment where women learn responsibility, to set boundaries and practical life skills that will allow them to lead productive and independent lives in Christ.
OUR RESIDENTS have histories of chronic substance abuse, homelessness and/or have been incarcerated. As a result their needs are many and varied and may include:
