Current KR3ORY EchoTime TTS Plus
Okay, just when you thought you knew enough about EchoLink here's another neat twist. I have enabled my link with Jim KH2D Kehler's, innovative EchoLink API called EchoTime TTS Plus. You may notice its presence when you hear the time and informational announcement at the top of the hour. With a short series of touch-tones it can also give you current AOO (Altoona - Blair County Airport) weather conditions, forecasts, and announces the existence of any current weather statements, advisories, or warnings that may be in effect. It has some other neat features such as the WWV solar reports, RSGB bulletins, and a menu of EchoLink station short cuts available.
EchoTime commands are listed below (preceded by a # tone when going through the NU3T repeater.) Please note that unlike the EchoLink commands I've made changes to many of the default EchoTime commands because some RF users (including myself) have experienced difficulty passing the star tone through the NU3T repeater consistently. So don't feel bad if you cannot get the commands with star tones to respond, but everything else should work for you.
++++++++++++++++++++ EchoTime is set to go quiet from 23:45 to 07:45 everyday +++++++++++++++++++++++++++
To access some of the EchoTime features check out the table below and remember all DTMF commands listed below must be preceded by a # tone when going through the NU3T repeater.
EchoTime Command EchoTime TTS Plus Transmits:
0A Station Info & Announcements (varies hourly.)
5A Current Time.
6A KR3ORY-R Connection Status.
7A Help; EchoLink connection commands and instructions.
8A AOO Current Weather Conditions.
9A AOO Weather Forecast.
Please note that I've made changes to many of the initial EchoTime commands because some RF users (including myself) have experienced difficulty passing the star tone through the NU3T repeater. At present EchoTime doesn't allow me to change the following DTMF commands containing star tones, so you can try them, but they may not respond because of the star issue.
*60* thru *69* RSGB bulletins
*70* Blue Knob Repeater Association information.
*71* Altoona area VHF repeaters.
*72* Altoona area UHF repeaters
*73* Scheduled 2m / 440 nets heard in Altoona.
*74* Station Shortcuts Menu
*75* Pennsylvania Shortcuts.
*76* Midwest Shortcuts.
*77* Western Shortcuts.
*78* Foreign Shortcuts.
*99* Current WWV solar conditions report.
