Jesus truly is the real JOY of Christmas! It's also fun to watch children's eyes light up whenever they see a house decorated with lots of pretty lights. Or, simply to enjoy the endless question: "Is it Christmas yet, Mommy?"
How soon we tend to lose the excitement... especially if we're just focusing on "making it through the Christmas holidays with our sanity still in-tact." My prayer is that I will savor each moment (however redundant) as our five year old is at the perfect age to "watch" Christmas. I want to see it through her eyes, yet with at least a small understanding of what God gave up to send His Son Jesus to Earth.

This is definitely a work in progress.
I hope and pray that we will all remember why we celebrate Christmas in the first place. We wouldn't even have a Christmas if it weren't for God sending His Son to be born of a virgin.

It's not about how many Adoptions I can collect (even if they areNativity-related). It's not about how many presents I get -- whether real or "on-line." It's not about opening every single Advent Calendar on the web.
