Psalm 147:16-18 says,
He gives snow like wool;
He scatters the frost like ashes.
He casts forth His ice as fragments;
Who can stand before His cold?
He sends forth His word and melts them;
He causes His wind to blow and the waters to flow.
I can remember cold winter days in Indiana, Germany, and Minnesota. Waking up to a blanket of snow on the ground is a child's dream-come-true! There was at least one occasion while we lived in Indiana when I had to walk to school in the snow. This wasn't a one or two inch snow, either. It was enough that I remember having to lift my moonboot-clad feet up out of the snow in order to traverse in it. (How many of you know what "moonboots" are?) :-) This was in the early 1980's... when I was in sixth or seventh grade.
