[Iceland Lobby] Though the rink is enclosed in walls of pure ice, the constant parading of people to and from the rink keeps the area quite warm. The upward curving walls support a huge translucent dome-shaped roof through which the sky is clearly visible. You also see a winding staircase, a rink entrance and a carved felwood skate bin. Obvious exits: out. >look in bin In the skate bin you see some mithril-bladed skates. >take skat You just grabbed yourself some mithril-bladed skates. After removing your regular footwear, you may wear your skates. >wear my skat You put some mithril-bladed skates onto your feet. Assuming you are now in any room labeled "["Iceland Rink"], you may now skate. [Iceland Rink] However, if you are on the ice and are NOT wearing skates, you get this message if you attempt to go east or north, etc.: >east You fumble about before you realize that wearing skates would only aid your gracefullness [sic] on the slippery ice. If you ARE wearing skates, you will see this message: >east You skate east. |
