SKYVIEW'S PORT SIDE HARLEQUIN
The puppy that was Gold has returned. While her registered name is Skyview's Port Side Harlequin, we are now calling her CARLEY.
Imagine we now have littermates Lefty and Carley, not necessarily what we had planned, but it is working out fine.
One of her first outings after we got her was to a club field training day. She was very intense and liked every minute she was out in the field. A few weeks later we took her to one of the Chesapeake Bay Retriever Relief and Rescue picnics. Carley intermingled with many people and other dogs, she also was calm, cool, and collected so we had her tested for a Canine Good Citizens title. I am proud to say Carley passed with ease on May 17.
Carley 's pedigree is the same as Lefty's pedigree.
Carley has been tested for EIC, while the test was in the process of being certified. Her test results will not change - she was certified as clear.
The DM testing. Carley was found to be a carrier of the mutated gene that could possibly cause Degenerative Myelopathy.
Carley has her eyes cleared via CERF, her number is CB-6142/2009-16.
We will wait until after she is 24 months old to check her hips, elbows, thyroid, etc.
Carley is very focused when we are training her. She seems to enjoy working - what ever the task. Juli and Logan did give her a good start, we hope to continue to build on those fundamentals.
Plans are to enter her in a few Derby stakes before she ages out, also to enter Senior Hunting Retriever tests this fall.
