Frequently Asked Questions

Jersey, shorts, and socks are included with registration fees.

Players are required to provide their own shin guards and shoes.  Cleats are not required at any level of AYSO.  For safety, shin guards must be covered by socks.

Team requests?  Coaches coach their own children.  Players may request one friend to be on their team, but this is not guaranteed.

No players are allowed to play down in division.

Playing up a division is limited only to a coach’s child so that they can play on the same team as a sibling.

Refunds for the Fall 2009/Spring 2010 season must be requested in writing by August 15th, 2009.

For a refund: Email child’s name, birthday, reason for refund, name on check, and where to mail check to.

How is the season determined?  Fall season starts the Saturday after Labor Day and goes for 7 weeks.  Spring Season is 7 games counting back from the Saturday before Memorial Day weekend.

U8 Division? What does the U mean? — This is the division for children who are Under 8 Years old on August 1st.

Practice?  Practice for all divisions except the U5-U6 are determined by the coach.  Recommended practice schedule is 1 per week.  U5-U6 have practice the first 20 minutes of the scheduled game time.

Why are the games divided into Quarters?  Each registered child is entitled to play 1/2 of the game.  Quarters make it easier to keep track of player time, and gives time for a quick drink on hot days.
