Any puddle of water deep enough to cover a five cent coin would be called a "birdbath". These areas should be outlined with chalk. If these areas are not taken care of promptly they can seriously affect the longevity of your court. This method for repairing puddles is a temporary patch, that will give you more time to play your best game of tennis.

• Acrylic patch mix materials needed:
• 100 lb. clean sand
• 1.5 gallons of portland cement
• 5 gallon pail Novabond

Novabond is a 100% acrylic polymer emulsion that, when added to concrete in place of water, will dramatically increase the strength and adhesion properties of the concrete.

• Mix 1/2 gallon water with 1/2 gallon of Novabond This will be used for a primer.
• Brush or roll primer on the area to be repaired.
• Dry mix 100 lb. sand with 1.5 gallons of portland cement
• Take out of that mixture enough material to be used in thirty minutes.
• Mix undiluted Novabond to the material taken out, and mix to a soupy trowel consistency.
• For small puddles use a putty knife or trowel and float to smooth finish
• For large puddles drop material in middle of area , then use a straight edge to level the surface.
• When material is dry scrape off edges , and brick the surface to roughen up the patch. This patch will be gray in color.
