A Little About Becky
Gardener and permaculture pioneer Becky Elder truly understands the challenges and rewards of gardening in high, dry climates such as the Front Range of the Colorado Rockies. She allows the novice gardener to discover her gardening secrets as if standing with her in the garden and provides helpful monthly to-do lists and suggestions for suitable plants. Becky, an avid gardener for more than 30 years, runs a well-known garden design and maintenance business, Blue Planet Earthscapes. She is a respected lecturer and teacher on living harmoniously with the land and has written gardening columns and articles for publications including Springs magazine, Permaculture Activist and the Pikes Peak Bulletin. A portion of this book won first place in creative nonfiction in Pikes Peak Writers Conference's Paul Gillette Memorial Writing Contest in 2003.
