USOF POLICY --
COORDINATORS
The USOF Board of Directors resolves that
there can be a role of Coordinator for a specific task or topic, and that any
and all such Coordinator positions will be created and destroyed according to
the same methods and procedures as prescribed in the Bylaws for the creation
and destruction of committees (other than standing committees dictated by the
Bylaws), and that the Coordinator will likewise report to an officer of the
Federation, and be appointed and dismissed by that same officer, in the manners
described for the heads of committees in the Bylaws. Budgeting and funding will
be handled in a similar manner as for committees, or as directed by the Board
of Directors.
Unless explicitly dictated otherwise by the
Board of Directors in a specific case, a Coordinator position will be treated
as similar to a committee, and a Coordinator will be treated as similar to a
committee head, wherein any other rules, policies or matters may pertain. The
sole difference shall be that Coordinators do not have committee members under
them in their capacity as Coordinator. (They may, however, be assisted by other
people, on an informal basis, and may reimburse such people for their expenses,
subject to their authority to expend funds, and in a manner similar to, and
following the same budgetary and financial policies and rules as for, the
reimbursement of committee members by committee heads, and subject, similarly,
to the availability of funds.)
