2008 Portland Dance Festival

The Northwest's Largest Dance Party!

COMPETITORS, Please contact us by phone or e-mail us your name and address to request a competitor registration form. General information is as follows:

 

ALL Pro-Am entrants MUST pre-register (pre-registration price is $15 per dance); pre-registration for other competitors is STRONGLY encouraged to avoid onsite delays and additional fees. If you must register onsite, you’ll have until 8:00 p.m. Friday. On-Site Registration prices will be $20 per dance. All Couples competitors MUST purchase a WEEKEND PASS – you cannot compete on a Spectator or 1-Day Pass. Junior Youth and Junior Teens must pay full competition fees (there are no competition fees for Junior Primary).

 

Line Dancers - Due to a traditionally low turn out for line dance competition, we will not be offering formal line competition this year. If you need this event to qualify for Worlds, please let us know and we’ll make some arrangements to accommodate that request.

 

UCWDC Associate Membership

Each person or team wishing to compete in UCWDC sanctioned competition MUST purchase an Associate Membership with the UCWDC. IMPORTANT: If you are planning on competing at the UCWDC World Championships in Orlando in January 2209 and want this event to qualify, Associate membership is MANDATORY for this event. Exempt from this requirement are all Newcomer divisions of competition (including Division IV). Teams need only purchase one membership for the entire team. Register on line at www.ucwdc.org.

 

UCWDC Couples Competition

Published Showcase music for the month of July will be used. Classic music is not

released in advance. Please visit the UCWDC website (www.ucwdc.org) for a listing of the showcase music that will be used.

 

UCWDC Pro-Am Competition

Entry into Pro-Am is by Pre-Registration Only. Deadline is Wednesday July 9th.

 

Pro-Am Swing Competition

Strictly Swing rules apply. Compete with your pro in heated format; we'll pick the music (west coast swing only). Offered in Novice, Intermediate and Advanced Divisions.

Just Dance Competition

Offered in Two Step, West Coast Swing (the same as Strictly Swing) and Night Club in Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced Divisions.

 

Jack and Jill Competition

Offered in Two Step and West Coast Swing in Novice, Intermediate and Advanced Divisions. Registration is available at the event (cost $10 for two step; $15 for swing). Competitors MUST purchase at least a One Day Pass to compete in Jack and Jill. Swing competition is WSDC certified and will abide by the rules and regulation set forth by the WSDC.
