Welcome!
Welcome to the Pacific Go
Observer. I hope you enjoy these notes. We are involved in an
unusual form of community building here, and your participation is most
appreciated. There is a lot going on in the West in general, and in
California in particular, and it is good to share these things, and to bring
attention to them.
You will find a change in format this
month, as we shift from being a monthly publication, to being an ongoing
journal. As new articles come in, they will be added to the primary
pages of their sections, and previous articles will remain accessible
through links at the bottom of the page.
To start with, we have a
new article on Youth Profiles, thanks to
None Redmond, focusing on Curtis Tang. As time goes on,
we hope to add new articles on other youth players. Similarly, new
pages will be added to the Go Haiku section, as well as to the sections on
Fundamentals, Round Robin Results, etc etc.
While this publication gives its support to the
Western Go
players and their continuing online / in person tier system match-ups (http://home.comcast.net/~rtomalley/round.robin/) it also aims to provide local news and information about our Go
playing peers and community. It puts high value on our next round of Go players. If you know
youth players, or if you know players
who are new
to Go, please point them to this resource..
Doing something Go related? Just
write it up and send
it in to share with the readers; you'll see it here.
Enjoy.
