Regarding Conditions in Iraq
Regarding Email making the rounds from a Major in Iraq. As an Army engineer (about 45 days after invasion) he mentions ‘exaggerated, sensationalized, selective' news reports that we are getting about Iraq. This is true, and many say the 10 Multinational Corporations who own-control 70% of US Media, they ‘exaggerate, sensationalize, and selectively control' our news. It reminded me of synchronized attacks by major US Media, claiming many illegal acts by France in aiding Iraq, using rumor's like passports given Iraq leaders, later these reports found to be without any foundation or fact. In my following up afterward, I found that a French Diplomat was able to get our State Dept (Richard Boucher) to admit the reports were groundless, yet the diplomat was unable to get any help from the administration to stop US media from continuing this disinformation.
Iraq by 1979 was finally coming out from under an alliance with Russia, Russia before had provided most of Iraqs (conventional) military materials. Also in 1979 as Saddam solidified his takeover of Iraq, he was actually assisted by the US-Gov. Saddam at this time purging terrorists to become a US-asset in attacking Iran, the Iran/Iraq war was thus instigated to turn the Iraq/Iran border skirmishes into an all out war. However by late 1981 Iraq had begun losing the war with Iran, and in order for the Reagan-Admin to bolster Iraq militarily through Saddam Hussein, Iraq had to be removed from Americas "Terrorist Supporting Nation" embargo list. This listing had essentially prohibited the sale of military equipment, by removing this restriction enabling horrendous WMD materials (including bio/chem) legally sold to Iraq by 'military/industrial' corporations from (many) nations. A small fact forgotten when Pres-Bush sent poorly trained and armed US soldiers into Iraq.
Today we have a 1982 video of Rumsfeld shaking Saddams hand to finalize this new alliance of convenience. Later around year 2003 Iraq supplied the UN with a complete list of WMD suppliers, the US Gov had the data (names of Corporation suppliers) removed before allowing release of the report to common UN members (not 5-Permanent Member status). The US government is investigating US Corporations regarding these sales, however as they were all legal, perhaps they were worried about slave-labor in some instances being used. Some suppliers were US Corporations using foreign (French) subsidiaries when materials were sold. In all there is documented proof that Western Corporations from almost every major nation on earth sold Iraq WMD materials. Some today still say it was necessary to ally with and support the arming of Saddam. These do not know the story of (our) Shah of Iran and (our) assisted SAVACK Secret Police set up to keep the Shah (1953-1979) in power and prevent Iran ever nationalizing their own oil-fields again.
I did not see any mention by the Major to the effects from our "Shock & Awe" war, where one US general said beforehand "no one in Bagdad would be safe." Where regardless many thousands of tons of missiles & bombs were dropped on cities like Bagdad. I have done research on the (heavy metal/low level radiation) Depleted Uranium Munitions themselves, Armor Piercing and deep probing Bunker Busting DU-weapons, reported as used in the city of Bagdad. I have one document from a physicist in the military that the Pentagon appointed (after Gulf War-I) to check out these spent munitions plus destroyed armor, and to submit reports back on findings.
It is now known these munitions during penetration of armor reach extreme temperatures, the result being about 40% of the DU burning into a DU-Oxide Dust as they make round holes through armor. These DU-dust particles are so fine they pass through gas masks-filters issued our military. The DU-dust is actually so fine it is soluble in blood, traveling and lodging in every organ of the body for something like 4.5 million years. The temperature of this dust create inside armored vehicles is so high, our servicemen began calling dead soldiers inside the armor as "crispy critters." Now because of deep penetrating Bunker Busting bombs, contamination now exists in deep aquifers for generations to come. Depleted Uranium munitions in fact are a violation of (every) International and Geneva Convention prohibition based upon moral, ethical, and humane standard.
Once this man discovered the dangers of DU-Oxide Dust (with half-life 4.5 billion years), how it is soluble in blood traveling to every organ in the body, he began sending reports about this health risk advising procedures and precautions that needed to be taken. It is a poison (heavy metal) and low-level (radiation source) at the same time. He now warns everyone that the Pentagon ignored effectively all of his reports, also the data they did put out was false and misleading. I have a copy of a memo from the Los Alamos testing laboratory, warning "...concern regarding DU on the environment...(need to) make a case for DU...(or it) may become politically unacceptable...". I have another article about one of the original weapons factories in Eastern America that received this (free nuclear industry waste/heavy metal/with traces of Plutonium among others), and how this Weapons factory at Colonie-Site in Albany New York was found contaminating surrounding community. Many other sites of contamination also exist beyond military target ranges. A California test site 50 miles from San Francisco used in exploding these devices since 1961 is contaminated and needing super fund clean up. DU super fine dust travels by air many miles, the city of London has discovered traces from the Iraq war.
It did not surprise me the Majors comments of "0" power & utilities (after the war), however I do wonder at his statement that 90% of this loss of utilities could be attributed to ‘bad-men' doing sabotage, especially afterward. What did surprise me was learning afterward of the 30-50,000 Corp-Contractors in and around Iraq, an example is Blackwater Mercenaries, part of their contract as guards for installations such as the oil-industry-pipeline to port's where the oil is shipped out. The CIA-paramilitary hiring Corp-interrogators at Abu Ghraib prison also did not surprised me, nor the secret CIA Rendition methods carried out when US citizens and others are sent to regimes in 3rd world for inTerrorGation. This has been a US-Gov/Pentagon MACVSOG Black-Op's since the Vietnam Advisory/Police-Action from the 1970's. However has anyone ever wonder when the CIA was authorized to set up its own 'military or paramilitary'?
What surprised me was our troops being supplied contaminated water by the Halliburton subsidiary known as Kellog Brown & Root. The operation used such a low grade filtration method, compounded by not changing filtration materials often enough, that the supply was actually more contaminated then had no filtration system been employed. In addition to Halliburton overcharging for services, was the slimy (pun intended) scam of supplying spoiled food and foods way past freshness dates to US servicemen in Iraq. These being not as important as Halliburton double-charging for fuel-oil and gasoline (into) Iraq.
I've heard about the psychologies of war and effects on populations afterward, describing how aftershock and deprivation affects people. But considering the magnitude of ‘shock & awe,' I am reluctant to believe the "0" power and utilities "can be almost all attributed to the baa'thist remnants," before or after the war. The clean water-utilities problem I also heard about, the impression I got from reports was that more than Saddams downtown Bagdad bunkers were hit, the Pentagons own reports state about an 80% accuracy of these bombs & missiles leaving a lot of stray ‘shock & awe'. It is also interesting that even before Congress passed the resolution for pre-emptive war, British and US governments began intensive bombing (including vital civilian-utilities as was done in Kosovo) to soften up Iraqi. In Kosovo water and electoral plants needed by civilians were deliberately targeted.
The Major mentions that oil-well production was quickly brought to 103%, however fails to mention that fuel-oil and gasoline at this same time is actually being imported (profitably into) Iraq to supply (domestic needs). No mention was made of missing and unaccounted for $-Billions of UN Oil-monies turned over to US Collation agents, nor mention that the Halliburton subsidiary hired to repair this infrastructure would not allow metering (monitor amount of oil production) on the wells back in operation. The quick handling of Iraq oil production if anything explains the Pentagon who from the very first had our military rushing through Iraq without rear-guard protection, nor leaving guard at large Iraqi ammunition storage facilities found along the way.
The major with all of his information appeared not to know about the above subsidiary Kellog Brown & Root involved in an effort to stop Iraq oil-labor from reforming unions. Contractor KBR began hiring foreign labor to undercut and stop Iraq oil industry labor unions. It now appears that the near dictatorial powers of the Coalition Provisional Authority if anything is deliberately sabotaging the rebuilding of Iraq, made worse by heavy handed coalition-military operations. This form of graft and Corruption has cost perhaps $50-Billion Dollars lost and un-accounted for. Also of interest is the 'Privatation' of Iraq industry, like OIL, very likely Iraq has few Billionaires remaining who today can outbid foreign bidders like Exxon/BP?
News reports during the invasion often stated our military took no precautions to guard their rear-flanks, and this was surprising considering the dire predictions of the Bush Administration, repeatedly warning that Stockpiled WMD were "ready for use within 45 minutes". The 45-minute statement resulted (after) Tony Blair returned this intelligence (single source) document to British Intelligence many times for "sexing up." The rush of US military during the Iraq invasion apparently had nothing to do with finding WMD (ready or not), Rumsfeld and others of the Bush Admin stated knowing almost the exact locations of WMD-stockpiles (and) Factories, but apparently during the invasion having other things on their mind.
According to the Bush-Administration, refurbished 'Factories and Portable Lab's' in Iraq had produced vast stockpiles of (new) nuclear, bio/chem's, Scud missiles (2-dozen is what Bush said) and other illegal long range missiles, with more than enough planes and drones to make them all ready for deployment within a 45-minute interval. This sounded serious enough to merit a rear-guard, it certainly did not merit the Pentagons rush through Iraq that enabled seizing the oil fields intact. I recently listened to Rumsfeld before a Congressional Inquiry, irritated at having to admit that no 'WMD' of any content had been found in Iraq to date, nor the 'Refurbished Factories' that had produced these stockpiles of weapons. This admission makes the Pentagons reports during the invasion, that Scud missiles had been fired at advancing US military as more Bush Administration induced lies, considering Rumsfeld at this same Congressional hearing was forced to admit finding not a shred of evidence concerning these scud-missiles.
I have listened to administration statements that the WMD were buried, or shipped to Syria, without ever being spotted by either the CIA-Paramilitary or Delta-force (both sent into Iraq reportedly a year or more before the invasion). Nor was this witnessed by spy satellites and planes of several nations who have actively monitored Iraq since 1991. This logic appears to want the best of two different worlds. First we are told the WMD was immediately ready to be used within a 45 minute interval, and then (remembering the Bush Admin knew almost the exact locations... to be monitored) it is either buried out in the desert in places that cannot be found with latest scientific equipment, or it had been previously spirited away to Syria under the noses of many surveillance and intelligence agencies.
This is what Donald Rumsfeld said about Iraq WMD in an ABC Interview March 30, 2003 shortly before the invasion, "We know where they are (WMD). They're in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad and east, west, south and north somewhat." It is worth remembering that the Bush Administration reported knowing almost exactly where these materials and factory existed, and would surely have kept a watch on these important locations. I am now also familiar with reports that a scientist, a general, and Iraq people who left Iraq earlier said these remnants of WMD in Iraq had been destroyed. This leaves statements by recent Iraqi's covertly involved with Bush/Pentagon (Office of Special Plans) suspect, such as Chalabi and his group of Iraq Nat'l Congress who furnished a single intercepted communication, that said (some) WMD were spirited to (undisclosed) locations.
Hans Blix now says that of all the Intelligence provided to them by both US/British intelligence, only one was of any value, and it led them to a ‘fire-engine.' Of these reports received from both US/Britain Intelligence Agencies, Hans Blix said these kept them running in useless and unproductive circles. However Colin Powell during the 1990 war said that with smart weapons he was able to destroy large quantities of "WMD." The UN did Powell one better, the combined 1991-98 UNSCOM and UNMOVIC UN-report states that they destroyed over 90% of Iraq WMD stockpiles and factories.
The Cambridge University term-papers (plagiarized verbatim about Niger Uranium purchased by Iraq) can now be totally disregarded. Joseph Wilson who was once a diplomat in Niger was sent to Niger after Vice-President Cheney asked for investigation. At Niger it was learned that Niger uranium industry is controlled by a consortium of three (3) Western Corp's and the Niger-gov who together control the operation, and their operation closely monitored by the Int'l Atomic Energy Agency. During Wilsons visit, the US Embassy in Niger reported their own investigation found essentially the same lack of any evidence that Iraq purchased uranium yellow-cake. It was agreed by everyone including the US Embassy in Niger that the chance of Niger Uranium going to Iraq under these circumstances was essentially impossible. Valerie Pame outing was later found connected to investigation into covert activities of the Bush-Admin and earlier covert US-Gov, using CIA 'BCCI' bank accounts to finance Pakistan training of Mujihadeen-terrorist (today called Al Qeada) for Afghanistan, also to develop and produce their own nuclear arsenal.
Upon Wilsons return to the States, this information was debriefed to the CIA, the essence being that the Bush Administrations Niger Uranium documents had serious error's and no credibility with established facts. The United Nations when finally getting a copy of this single source document, quickly proved it as forgeries proven by obvious discrepancies involving Niger government offices and representatives besides many other significant and important document errors. Meaning the Bush Admin (Cheney) was aware of the forgery status of Niger-Doc's at least one year before Bush used them in a report to the American people and Congress. Of further interest, the Iraq uranium-enrichment processing facility needed to enrich this uranium yellow cake, in 1980 Israeli Intelligence talked Iran into bombing the facility, and shortly after in 1981 Israel again bombed and said they had totally destroyed the Iraqs Nuclear Enriching facility. This facility despite tentative plans was never rebuilt, making an Iraqi Nuclear Bomb literally impossible.
The Majors mention of many Saddam Palaces is disgustingly true, and that Saddam used utilities to control the population (some in outskirts living in mud huts) comes as no surprise. It makes me wonder again when Saddam after murdering and torturing his way to control of Iraq by 1979, why Reagan with vice President GHW Bush and Rumsfeld though Saddam should be our ally in 1980s against our ‘evil' Iranian enemy. Historical documents will seem to show that President Reagan did not become involved with Iraq before 1982, however the US Shadow government began using the CIA to establish and support Saddam as an ally against Iran as early 1979. The US Shadow government using Saddam Hussein goes back even further than this, it was in the 1960's they began using Saddam to control Socialist tendencies in Iraq.
It also makes me wonder what the Major knows of history for this entire region, how after the Ottoman Empire it was Western Empires such as Britain that predominately controlled the Middle East as a colony using the League of Nations. This occurred after Britain switched from coal to oil in their naval ships, and because oil had been discovered in the Middle East during early 1900's. Before 1950s, British 'Anglo Iranian Oil Company' now called British Petroleum controlled or made off with approx 90% of Iran oil-production revenue. In fact it was Winston Churchill in 1920's who first condoned the use of poison gas on Iraq citizens revolting against forcefully being a British colony. After the European Empires had weakened themselves through WWI-WWII conflicts, this enabled America to take over as dominant empire of Middle East territories and resources.
Our Major had he been as informed as well as he thought he was, might have discovered that the Pentagon was using Chemical-Weapons Phosphorus and Incendiary plus Napalm bombs on Iraqi citizens in what is called "Shake and Bake." One other puzzling omission by our Major, was with all of his data on Iraq oil industry recovery, was no mention of Kellog Brown and Root (Halliburton) who got the 'no bid' contract to accomplish this feat, or Blackwater Mercenary who got the Pentagon sub-contract to guard the operation.
Another history lesson for our Army Major would be that after WWII, and after 1950 when Britain lost control of Iranian oil, it was American Oil Gorporations that took over majority control of Iranian oil profits. The story behind this re-alignment going back to the period in 1950's, after the Shah of Iran was ousted in elections, after Iranian oil fields were nationalized, that after this all British agents were literally kicked out of Iran. Because the British government no longer had agents inside Iran, the British-gov talked our US Government into using covert means including bribery of Iranian elite that enabled by 1953 the re-installion of the Shah, including our CIA helping set up the "SAVAK" Secret Police. It was this agencies job to torture and murdered as many Iranian citizens as necessary to keep Iran from voting out our Shah or nationalizing their oil fields again.
By year 1978 as a result of SAVAK brutalities the nation of Iran was in a state of revolution. Also discovered at this time was that the Shah had life threatening cancer. So while still Head of State in 1979 the Shah boarded a plane, leaving his regime behind, desperately hoping to find a Western cancer cure. This resulted in a temporary Interim government, and soon after new elections the Ayatollah Khomeini was recalled from exile to take cleric leadership of the new Parliamentary government. By 1980 Western governments had shuffled the Shah off by to Egypt, and here in 1980 the Shah died of cancer. Americans in the US-Embassy of Iran by now are taken captive as hostages, charging them as being CIA agents who had engineered the repression of Iran by covertly establishing the Shah-regime and the SAVAK-SS.
Although the US Shadow gov had began enlisting Saddam much earlier, his rise to power in 1979 was most opportune for our above contention with Iran. The ensuing Iraq/Iran war that started in 1980 soon however began taking a serious negative turn. This is apparently why President Reagan who was elected in 1981 decided to ally more openly with Saddam, sending diplomat Rumsfeld to Iraq after removing the "Terrorist Supporting Nation" listing (embargo) on Iraq. This action as mentioned earlier enabled and permitted Western and Eastern Corporations to legally sell "WMD-Material" to Iraq, and by 1984 the poison gassing of both Iraq and Iran villages. China and Russia also sold WMD-Materials to Iraq, but we expect the actions of our enemies to be evil. The GW Bush government later had the UN remove all names of Western Corp's who sold this WMD material (from the report submitted by Iraq to the UN), a requirement before allowing release of the document.
The Major saying that we now "forget the WMD" because it was "Not Our Real Motivator" has me more than perplexed, as this is the very reason the Bush Administration used to begin the new policy of "pre-emptive war." In fact on May 30, 2003 Paul Wolfowitz during interview by Vanity Fair said "For bureaucratic reasons, we settled on one issue, weapons of mass destruction (as justification for invading Iraq), because it was the one reason we could all agree on." On top of this we were told by members of the Bush Administration how certain they were, such as Donald Rumsfeld on May 30, 2003 during ABC interview saying, "We know where they are (Refurbished WMD/WMD-Factories). They are in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad and East, West, South and North somewhat." So to be more accurate this young Major should have said "it is no longer our Real Motivator."
I have read the documentation put out by the "Project for the New American Century" (PNAC), of which essentially every person within the Bush-Administration since 1997 have been members. These are people in the Bush-Admin who go back to the Nixon/Reagan era, it was from this period that their military domination and preemptive philosophies began. This is a document that is a ‘must read' by every Christian, what this Bush-Administration group advocates is not what Christ teaches. Their document calls for vast increases in military spending, building high-tech military bases all over the world (with special mention of the Middle East), with the end purpose of having American-Military dominance (they call Constabulary) over every nation in the world, including our allies.
I have also followed the skyrocketing price of oil, yet despite this, and because of manipulation of Iraqi economy, very little of Iraq infrastructure is being used to rebuild Iraq. It would appear that Western Corporate (Mercenary) costs add up, requiring extremely high 55% unemployment (or under-employment) as a serious problem in the nation of Iraq. It has however been a boon to the Bush-Administration and many DEM-leaders, as they are connected to the same 'Military/Industrial-Complex' enterprises such as Halliburton, Bechtel, Carlyle Group, Global Crossing, DynCorp, Military Professional Resources Inc., and many more who are getting many (if not most) of these military and government (non-competitive) contracts. These Contractors and the crooked Coalition Government so far have lost or stolen almost $50-Billion Dollars that was turned over from the UN (Food for Oil) that were suppose to rebuild Iraq.
I can appreciate the Majors desire to get back to this ‘Big PX' of America, but I hope he is not sold to many 3rd World and "Made in Communist China" (80%) importation that is cutting heavily into our infrastructure of jobs and future, and has turned American Labor primarily into ‘Service-Sector' jobs. US Corporations building factories in China has definitely reduced these same jobs in America. Because of this 'outsourcing' we have a constantly growing Trade Deficit, we are now in fact a debtor nation to Communist China. Henry Kissinger some time ago formed an agency that helps American Corporations build factories in 3rd World locations like (WTO member) Communist China. Henry Kissinger being the man who lost the job (Bush appointment) to head the WTC investigation. Thomas Kean being the man Bush replaced Kissinger with, both men with financial connections to the same Saudi and Pakistani (who supplied and financed all WTC-Terrorist), that Kean was supposed to investigate. The entire investigation now popularly called the "Cover Up."
Using research (multi-source data) that anyone could accomplish, I've discovered that our government (DEM/GOP) helped set up and/or supplied every enemy we are now fighting. I discovered that the Iraq war actually began (before) Congress passed the Resolution... that (some) believe authorized the President to "Declare War." More of the PNAC (DEM/GOP) philosophy that evil men are needed to fight evil, and good men are needed to fight wars. It opens doubt into why Bush had a section removed from the Warren Commission report about the WTC-disaster, especially as those who have read the complete report say it involves the above Saudi/Pakistan regime's with WTC-attack, has no national-security connection worth mentioning, and discloses no evidence involving Iraq with WTC-attack. Nor was one item brought out about the Mossad (Zionist Mafia) connection to Americas problems in the Middle East and elsewhere.
Also in regard to the 15-individual WTC terrorists who flew planes into the WTC, 7-8 are still alive and claiming innocence, however being ID'd as Arab-terrorists did help push the Bush-Admin "Crusade" for revenge. By now there is no doubt that both DEM and GOP upper-hierarchy (leadership) not only failed and misled American citizens, but also had produced a very flawed 9-11 Commission Report devoid of many important and documented facts. In addition to this is the revelation that the Pentagon "Salvadore Option" and "Strategy of Tension" not only may be in operation in Iraq, but has a long history now being investigated regarding past secret Cold War operations. By deliberately keeping Iraq destabilized and preventing recovery or the most basic necessities of life, instigating division that results in additional poverty and strife, Corp-US-Gov has indebted Iraq with plans to have laws passed that privatize Iraq oil reserves. The US Int'l-Oil-Cartel will then be the primary owners of Iraq oil-reserves, guaranteeing that Iraq will never crawl out from under the ownership and debt covertly enabled with US War-Taxes.
I don't want to put this Major down, especially his Christian faith, but we Christians in this nation must become less emotionally led about serious matters, and more intelligently informed. I have mentioned a smallest fraction of data and history about which we must ask the Lord for true Discernment. Most Christians seem to lack information direly needed today, information needed if we are to make wise decisions. We must serve God first, and nation or government after. We need to know the fruit (and) works of those we accept as leaders, Christ warned that there will be many who come in darkness, and masquerade as light. Christian leaders that discourage becoming informed and informing others, must be scripturally identified as the blind leading the blind.
There are Christians who are becoming informed, such as Christian Aid who are looking into large sums of missing monies involved with US Corp-contractors sent to restructure the destroyed Iraq infrastructure. Questions regarding the new Iraq Secret Police set up by the Bush admin also go unanswered, and recent Torture of Iraqi now being done by this same agency. Most lucid and disturbing is secular man, now questioning what appears to be a false Christian church that the Bible prophecies coming at the end of the age. Considering many falsehoods being spread about an entire peoples who call themselves believers in Islam, it cannot hurt allowing Islamic believer's a chance to defend their belief. Today increasing numbers of reports tell of tortured bodies turning up floating in rivers and found along roadside, and Iraqi now saying this carnage is rivalling the Saddam era. US Media for some reason rarely reporting the many Islamic Clerics who call this 'Jihad' terrorism and the "murder of innocent people." On Oct. 13, 2001 Rep. Joseph Pitts, R-Pa., informed the House of Representatives and had inserted into Congressional Records that the grand imam of Al-Azhar, Sheikh Tantawi, denounced bin Laden. Rep. Pitts was clear in characterizing Sheikh Tantawi as "the highest and most respected Islamic authority in the world."
Our leaders are like the Priests of the Temple-Church, Revelation in the Bible tells about Gods judgment on this corporeal establishment. We cannot only look at the individual, when it is the corporeal leaders who hold power. We are to discern not only the fruit and works of an individual, who alone accomplishes little, but we must most certainly discern the fruit and work of the corporeal power, which have the complete authority. We may know both by whom and how they are associated, and what the fruit is that this association produces. The Bible tells us to be as wise as a serpent, and as innocent as a dove. We can use this same teaching in evaluating the works of our leaders, both individually or corporeally. Christ did not put great load on the followers, but to those whom much was given, much shall be expected.
