Today started off a lot better for me (Dan). I'm still feeling tired but not nauseous! Julie is still feeling a little under the weather though. Ruby slept through the night which is very helpful! We needed the rest. We both made it down to the breakfast buffet this morning. It's easier with two of us. My hat is off to single parents! I don't see how you do it.
We met up with our group at 10:15 to head over to the Sun Yat-Sen memorial hall. We learned a little about this leader and toured the building. It was kind of drizzly out this morning but not real cold. After the memorial hall we went to a store that sells porcelain and other misc. arts and crafts items. We bought a few chops. These are carved stone pieces that have a persons name carved on them. they are used as a name stamp. The other items in the store were beautiful but too expensive for us.
When we got back, Julie and Ruby went down for a long nap. I went out and walked around some of the shops and picked up the laundry Julie had dropped off yesterday. I came back and did some web-surfing until they woke up. We have a broadband connection at the hotel but it's not as fast as the cable modem we have at home. It is a nice break and a bit of my normal routine.
We are getting ready to head out and do some shopping and get some Thai food for dinner. We're back... We found some nice linen place-mat, napkin and chopstick sets on the way to dinner. We also got another inside painted bottle and a table runner. The Thai food was excellent although Julie and I were still a little cautious about eating a lot. Wendy, Jia Huan and Piper joined us. Both girls did really well in their high chairs. It was a late meal so we got Ruby to bed and I'm trying to get this posted so I can go to sleep also.
Thanks to everyone who has emailed!! We really appreciate hearing from you. We come home Wed!
