Jahn Chandler, and "one" ...

Aspiring artist and producer, I am here with my music project, "one" , an ever-changing collection of musicians and singers, who have joined together on several occasions to Create. We have acknowledged that the creation, and not simply the re-creation of music, is what "one" represents and supports. Conscious music... people music, all with a mission in mind of BRINGING PEOPLE TOGETHER. Jahn roots his lyrical style with a mentally therapeutic mission... there is someone who has an answer or two, and is not afraid to share it with an open, receptive audience, while being backed up by musicians who understand and support the cause of peace, and assisting others in the task of mental calm. Be sure to keep up with the recording ventures of this project which is still in it's early days of invention.... we haven't even really begun to play yet....

... Billy Austin ...

a.k.a.Austin Stalnaker..... my boy Austin:... got his start with a few acts before bouncing into the richmond reggae music scene playing and creating with the act known as " Crucial Elements ", playing to packed houses both on their own, and opening for/playing with well known reggae pioneers. Now he solos and is free with Ruff Bong, to build that which settles in his heart, and our sturdy and supportive facilities and calming environment has enabed him to reach those heights that more people really should grasp. Austin's grooves are immediately seen as uniquely creative, innovative, and fulfilling the wishes of the most high in a most eloquent manner. His reggae-laced folk, bluesy skankin' riddim is sure to take your ears to an elevated state of listening pleasure, all-the-while forwarding a pass... one that could best be described as inspirationally groovin'. His new release can be purchased for now through Ruff Bong... when the mood is made right by something so easy to attian, why wait???

... Scott Taylor ...

... master solo flamenco player with just the right touch... Scott is a true gentleman, and a sincere player to have play for you and your guests at social functions either here or there. Scott recites solo falmenco guitar standards, with his own unique originals, and has recorded delicious demos with Ruff Bong, which well-accomodated his needs... the capturing of such a sound like this... not just capturing but truly recreating the true delicacy of the style of music, with the ability to almost taste it... is what Ruff Bong specailizes in. Scott felt the freedom Ruff Bong offers: no rushing, a supportive sound/recording engineer and trusted musician to work with, equipment exceeding in quality that which standard home studios provide, all in a more laid back setting: the result he and you will find: SUCCESS, and a FINE PRODUCT THAT WILL LAST AND LAST!!!

... Nubian Village Academy ...

... a vital part of African-American educational support offerings, and a very family-inclusive facility, NVA is a pre- and grade school in Richmond that also plays an important part in Richmond for cultural inclusion and enlightenment. The academy, staff and students, joined Ruff Bong in a joint venture to create and combine our talents, March 2004,... NVA provided the hand and vocal tempo and song, all singing and chanting performed by a group of the students,aged 4-10, and Ruff Bong recorded, mixed, added to with stringed and wind instruments, additional beats, clips of cultural leaders, and other live performance, and mastering. The package price, and not a by-the-hour plan was especially appealing to NVA, and we thank them for their trust in the venture, and look forward to the next time. Our plan is to approach with music first.... this past one consisted of the children and the teachers, performing in their natural state.... the sounds of their voices and songs, chants and melodies,then adding successive tracks with modern beats, creating absolute beauty from scratch.... not the same ol' tired thumps. Ruff Bong continues to improve on it's experience, and equipment, so you just wait until the next time, Richmond!!!
