The Deep River Horseshoe League is located off Route 154[South Main Street] in Deep River Connecticut with it's weekly competition on Thursdays beginning around 5:30 pm. The season begins at a predetermined date sometime in April and continues for 17 weeks ending around September. The 2 streets that border the courts are Route 154 and Church Street. Church Street isn't named on the maps. The red star indicates the court vicinity. Deep River is bordered on the east by the Connecticut River. The towns of Killingworth and Winthrop[more of a district] border to the west, Essex to the south and the town of Chester Connecticut to the north. Land access is from north, south or west. From the east you must cross the Connecticut River and head north or south to Deep River. Major 4 lane highways are Route 9[north/south] and Interstate 95[east/west]. Local main highways are Route 154[north/south].

From the New York City area and points south follow Interstate 95 along the shoreline north to the exit that directs you north on Route 9. Use Exit 5 for Deep River and the attached maps will give you local directions.

From North of New York City and similar points follow Interstate 84 east to Hartford. Take the exit that connects to Interstate 91 south. Follow 91 to exit 20 which actually connects you immediately to Route 9 south,a left lane connector. Follow Route 9 south to exit 5, Deep River. From exit 5 the attached maps will give you the local directions.

From Massachusettes and points north take Interstate 91 south to Hartford. Pass thru Hartford and continue on 91 to exit 20, a left lane connector to Route 9 south. Travel to exit 5, Deep River. From there the attached maps will take you the rest of the way.

From Rhode Island and points east take Interstate 95 south/west passing through the Groton/New London area to Old Lyme/Old Saybrook and the Baldwin Bridge. Just over the Baldwin Bridge take the right lane connector to Route 9 north. Pass Old Saybrook and Essex to exit 5, Deep River. From there the attached maps will take you the rest of the way.
