Vadim Yevgeniyevich Molchanov




On September 22, 1996 in he's 50th year after long and hard illness Vadim Yevgeniyevich Molchanov, one of the best space experts of the Soviet/Russian cosmonautics died.

His Childhood and youth passed in Yevpatoria where the Flight Controle Centre (TsUP) was in the beginning of Soviet Manned cosmonautics and exactly there early in 60s passion of cosmonautics of young Vadik araised. Since then more than 30 years he extended and expanded his knowledge, penetrated into "dense forest" of information that was known to very close circle of people for a long time. Exactly thanks to him many of blank spaces in the history of Soviet/Russian space research were closed and in many respects exactly thanks to him and exactly around him in 1989 a section of Soviet/Russian space amateures became to grow, to expand, to self-know and to organize somehow, growing to a quite big army of space enthusiasts now. The death of Vadim Molchanov is a irreplaceable loss in our rows.

He was an author of many researches, articles and notes that were published in many editions of the World.

On September 25, 1996 V. Molchanov was buried on one of Tula's graveyard.

Blessed memory about him remains in the hearts of all who knew him as personally as by correspondence, I am sure!
