Website Updates
Below is a general list of the major changes to the website. These are listed from most recent to oldest so that changes and additions are easier to find on the website. (Note: As with all websites, press F5 on your keyboard to see the most recent copy of this webpage.)
9/10/09 - Added the Rutan VariViggen homepage to the "Favorite Airplane Designs" section of Paul's R/C Links.
9/1/09 - Added the Paul's R/C Links to the "Members Pages and Links" section of the website.
8/11/09 - Added the Mexico Farms Airport to the Links to Nearby Clubs section of the website.
2/7/08 - Event dates on 2008 Regional Event Page updated. The Local Event calendar will be filled in (later in the year) when clubs set their FunFly dates.
8/5/07 - Altoona R/C Club Officers Web Page revised to show current and newly elected officers. Board of Directors Webpage added to the website. I have taken our original Club By-Laws and imported them into Microsoft Word. I have reformatted the whole document to resemble the original document as closely as possible. I have also added the original Club By-Laws to the website. (Some of these By-Laws are out of date and will need to be revised in the future). I have also updated the Home Page of the website to reflect these new changes and to reflect links that are no longer under construction.
4/16/07 - Event dates on 2007 Regional Event Page updated. Balsa Buster Events added to Local Calendar.
12/29/06 - All web pages transferred to new
service provider due to the Comcast takeover of Adelphia. Main Home Page
link will still come from http://www.altoonarcclub.com/.
Many failed links fixed. Page titles also corrected. Process not
complete, more updates to follow shortly.
4/17/05 - Custom Woodcrafts ( R/C field boxes )
website is down, so I have added all of their web pages to the Altoona website
until they are able to get a new web domain name. Link
to the Custom Woodcraft page. I have updated all of the Sunrise/Sunset
info. for the months of April through October. Link
to the Sunrise / Sunset Calendars. 11/01/04 - Message
Board added to website. Purpose of Message Board to allow members and
non-members the ability to communicate back and forth to set up times to fly
together at the field, to make website comments, to make suggestions on adding
new forums, etc. 10/25/04 - Name of main website chosen to be http://www.altoonarcclub.com/.
This location has been passed along to other local clubs and to the R/C Web
Directory ( on Tower Hobbies Website ). The Home Page has been created
along with the following pages - Officer, Map to the Field, Event Calendar, Past
Events, Current Weather, Sunrise and Sunset Calendars and Website Updates
Page.
