- Wrote and edited the Enhanced Traffic Management System (ETMS) Configuration document, providing instructions on setting up the ETMS hub site system created to optimize air traffic management and to convert a proprietary system architecture to an open system.

- Wrote and edited design documents and service and operator’s
guides for a project to print 24-bit TARGA files on a Sandia printer.
- Edited an analysis of the INS infrastructure, and the architectural design document and FRD to update and enhance the agency's operations.

Senior Tech Writer, MicroTech Research
Senior Technical Writer for a weekly customized newsletter for computer
vendors. Responsibilities included selecting articles from trade magazines
to be abstracted for client newsletters, abstracting articles about
hardware, software, and industry issues, and training and supervising
junior writers.
Misc. Contract Work
- Created help screens for the consumer loan section of an IBM-affiliated
banking package.
- Designed and created a new end-user manual for a third-party medical
billing system. Also documented the procedures and documentation
styles used during documentation cycle.
- Edited functional and design specs for a distributed system accepted
by NASA.
Delphi Associates (An Arthur D. Little Subsidiary)
Produced end-user guides for an information management system for
insurance agents, a Lotus 1-2-3-based expert system, and a logical
database design tool. Compiled indices, created project management
forms, interviewed clients to determine requirements, and estimated
project duration and cost using models.
Head Children's Librarian, Kelley Library, Salem, NH
Responsible for all aspects of running the Children's Section of the
third largest library in NH, including research, readers' advisory,
training, supervising and scheduling staff, ordering books and other
materials, preschool story hours, special educational events. Initiated
the library's first automated system for handling overdue book notices
using an Apple 2E.
