Russ started playing guitar as a child. Formed his first band at age 13 and played his first club at age 16. For years Russ played lead guitar in original heavy metal and thrash bands "Decimation" and "Syke"until switching to lead vocals in 1995. From 1995 - 2003 Russ Fronted the Rap/Metal Original band "Spit'n Krickets". After the Spit'n Krickets retired, Russ decided to look for musician friends that were interested in playing covers and so began 12oz.

Brian comes from a musicians background. He was sleeping in his fathers' bass drum when he was a 2. Playing lead guitar his whole music career. In his teens Brian was playing lead for Metal/thrash band Anxiety and opening for major touring metal acts. Brian and Russ have been friends since ninth grade so it made sense to join up and make this 12oz thing rockin!

Brad attended AIM and studied guitar from some of the best in the business. Played in various Metal bands over the years including Playing guitar for Anxiety, and switching to bass for Spit'n Krickets. Brad and Russ have been band mates now since 1995 and worked hard from 2003 to 2006 to get the right members together for 12oz. Prophets.
