The River Walk Bird Club originated as a result of the many birders who came together periodically below Chickamauga Dam to observe and record activities of the Peregrine Falcon "Roi" and his mates, and to walk along the river observing and photographing other birds.
The club is project oriented and recent projects include the building and placement of bird boxes along the Riverwalk, and at the Greenway Farm, Renaissance Park, and Nature Center. Birdfeeders were also built and located below Chickamauga Dam.
