2009 marks 400 years since Henry Hudson
“discovered” the New York river
that now bears his name, also 400 years since
Samuel de Champlain entered
the lake lying between Vermont, New York &
Quebec and named it after himself.
To properly observe the anniversaries of these
2 historical events it seemed a
close inspection of these 2 water bodies would
be in order. The following two
accounts tell the stories of these “observations”.
