UMCASA generally meets the 3rd Tuesday of September, October, November, January, February, March and April. The meeting will feature a speaker on some area of acoustics, or we will tour a local facility. Meetings include a social hour, dinner and then the speaker or tour. When we have a speaker, we meet at the Holiday Inn Metrodome. We have a spring banquet that is held sometime in late May or June. We invite a prominent speaker to cover an acoustic topic of general interest. Past presentations have included:

Violin construction
Train whistle acoustics
Acoustics of drums
Susan Rawcliffe , instrument builder and ceramic artist
Charles Hendrickson , St Peter, Minnesota organ builder
Dr. Deborah Check Reeves, University of South Dakota and National Music Museum

Typically, a few members of UMCASA judge at the Minnesota State Science Fair, and award prizes to outstanding projects in the area of acoustics.
