Meeting Minutes for March 9, 2009

The meeting was held at Aiken Regional Medical Center, Rooms A&B, in Aiken, SC.

Meeting was called to order by Club President Carl Bosard, AJ4AU at 1920 hrs.

16 club members and 23 guests attended.

Steve W8SC moved that the Treasurer’s Report, Secretary’s Report, and Committee Reports be dispensed with due to the SKYWARN training, leaving only OLD BUSINESS and NEW BUSINESS on the agenda.  Seconded by Carl AJ4AU.

Treasurer’s Report

Old Business

The Club has completed two rounds of Introduction to Amateur Radio sessions at Schofield Middle School in Aiken.  Mike K4NOP, Kent KQ4KK, Katie KI4LSZ, and Steve W8SC served as instructors.  The club is donating the ARRL book collection to the school.  The books have been received and a formal presentation will be made to the school.

Tonight’s Program:

Steve Naglic, K9NWS, of the National Weather Service presented the Basic SKYWARN Severe Weather class.

The Meeting was adjourned at 2115 hrs.

Next Meeting

April 13, 2009 at North Augusta Public Service Station #2.

The Program will be APRS, presented by Kent Hufford, KQ4KK.
