Award Certificates were issued to some participants of the March 22nd transmitter hunt event.

New Business:

Club President Mark Ledford talked about the upcoming ARRL Field Day event. The club will be ready for Boy Scouts and other visitors. Probably, the location will be the North Augusta Public Safety Station #2. Plans are to demonstrate for visitors operating modes such as PSK-31, Packet, FM Voice, SSB Voice, Morse CW, etc. Gear will be setup (including computer interfaced to radio) specifically for live demonstration to the public. Carl Bosard (AJ4AU) volunteered to obtain information brochures on Amateur Radio. Carl also volunteered to bring a grill and cook food for the event. Also, we will do the usual operating for making lots of contacts on HF, toward obtaining “points,” and will submit our log to the ARRL.
