Treasurer’s Report:
Treasurer Tom Arnold – W4KVF gave the report.
Tom explained the purpose and history of the “Special Repeater Reserve.” He also explained the purpose of the temporary “Library Book Fund.”
Secretary’s Report:
Carl Bosard – AJ4AU reported.
Some interference, possibly from a paging system, had been noted.
Mark Ledford – KG4IUQ reported.
Mark discussed the possibility of net control operators sending Net Reports to the Net Manager, as routine formal traffic.
Myron Berry, district Boy Scout event coordinator was planning for a Radio Merit Badge Day on September 27th, which would also include basic information on how to prepare for a Technician class VE exam. The class would be sponsored by the North Augusta Belvedere Radio Club, with Carl Bosard and Mark Ledford serving as instructors. Mark asked for volunteers to bring HF mobile stations to the class so that the scouts could get on the air for 10 minute QSOs.
Reminder about Fox Hunt tentatively scheduled for October 18th, with Gordon Baker as Fox.
