NORTH AUGUSTA BELVEDERE RADIO CLUB
Meeting Minutes for November 11th, 2008
This meeting was held at the Nancy Carson Library, North Augusta, South Carolina. Fourteen members and one guest attended. President Mark Ledford, KG4IUQ called the meeting to order. If you were not there, you did not vote.
TreasurerÕs Report:
Tom Arnold Ð W4KVF gave the report.
SecretaryÕs Report:
Carl Bosard Ð AJ4AU. There had been no corrections to the October meeting minutes report.
Committee Reports:
A. Repeater
Dick Schoenfelder Ð K4FKJ reported the repeater experienced problems over two weeks time. Repairs were made to the exciter drive. Finals checked and repeater is back on the air. Rayco in N. Augusta is out of business and no local parts vender is in the CSRA.
B. Net Manager
Mark Ledford Ð KG4IUQ Reported. The net met on the N2ZZ repeater, during the repeater outage. We had started using the N2ZZ repeater as a backup repeater.
C. ARRL South Carolina Section Emergency Coordinator
Charlie Miller Ð AE4UX reported.
D. Community Support
AJ4AU introduced Mr. Jon Felak from the Aiken Middle School who is seeking support for introduction to Amateur Radio program to be given in January 2009. Members of the club willing to support gave their names and contact info to Mr. Felak to coordinate this opportunity.
Old Business:
Radio Merit Badge Day for the Boy Scouts was a success. It was held at St. Johns church in Aiken and supported by the members of the club. One contact was made to Italy on HF with the scouts present.
Fox Hunt Ð October fox hunt went well. Aiken Tech is very cooperative in hosting the event and will support us in the future with appropriate scheduling notice.
VE Testing Ð Set for November 13th at Aiken Prep.
New Business:
Election of Club Officers:
Nominations for Treasurer were opened and W4KVF Tom Arnold was re-elected by acclamation of the membership.
Nominations for Secretary were opened. W8SC Steve Czaikowski was elected by acclamation of the membership.
Nominations for President were opened by KG4IUQ Mark Ledford, by withdrawing from the position due to upcoming job conflicts in 2009. Nominations of WX4BB Boots Boyce and AG4WH Gordon Baker were made and both parties withdrew. KG4IUQ nominated AJ4AU Carl Bosard, and Carl was elected by acclamation of the membership.

December/XMAS Meeting will be held Monday December 8, 2008 - Dinner 6:00 PM Location: Ryan's, 1275 Knox Avenue, N. Augusta
