WD 40 Tips.
We all know how wonderful WD 40 is. You have a can
in your garage/basement/tool cabinet right? I keep it handy when I wash and
wax the RX 300 and all other vehicles.
WD 40 tip 1: If you live in an area like I
do, it seems that I always end up with tar kicked up on the body work behind
the wheels, especially the front wheels! A little spray of WD 40 on a cloth
before a wash takes care of the tar!
WD 40 tip 2: I really go out of my way not to park under or near a pine tree in the spring when the sap is really active. Inadvertently, I will do this at least once a year. A little WD 40 on a cloth takes care of the sap. If there is a big glob, first scrape most of it off with something soft, a bit of wood (tooth pick usually works). Then clean the remainder with a rag and some WD 40. I wash and wax after that.
WD 40 tip 3: There are lots of cleaners that can be used to clean alloy wheels. Try WD 40 on the stubborn dirt.
And finally, do you know what "WD" stands for? That's right - Water Displacing formula 40 !
