Winter Snow Tip

Your RX 300 has great traction. How about your other vehicle? Or a friends vehicle, say at work or in the mall. Sometimes you just get stuck on some ice or slick snow and can not move your vehicle, especially at an incline (yes, back up and get a slight running start). My favorite is the guy in front of me at the stop sign. The road is on a slight hill up and the road surface freezes over. Yes, the vehicle in front of my RX 300 can not move because they just spin their tires.

OK, you can carry a bucket of sand to help the guy out. One thing I prefer to do is carry half a dozen roofing shingles - you know, asphalt shingles with grit (sand) on one side and about 3 feet long. These make perfect mats to put under the wheels that put power to the ground and get a start on the icy surface. Give it a try sometime.
