in the Schools
Christine Claringbold Approved by RACC
Christine Claringbold has been approved by the Regional Arts
and Culture Council (RACC) to work with the SUN Arts Program.
For her first gig as a RACC artist, Christine taught classes
at Kelly Elementary School's Summer Arts Camp. Christine has
been working at Kelly SUN Community School as an art teacher
since January 2005, and she is very excited about being approved
by RACC for the summer camp and for future residencies in
the schools.

One of the cool lesson plans in the Duniway Art Curriculum is
the "Study of Picasso," where kids create an abstract
portrait with paint and pastels on newspaper. When Julius Claringbold
was in 1st grade, he titled his Picasso piece "Eye Pop,"
and it was hung at the school's annual Art Show. That's where
Christine got the name for her business, Eye Pop Art. |
