HUSBAND - James Robert SCOTT

James Robert SCOTT and Martha Hattie NASH PETERSON marriage recorded in Fannin County Marriage Record Book D p. 529. Mariage solominized same day her divorce from L. L. Peterson was finalized - 31 Aug. 1889. Almira Callie McGee date of marriage came from Scott Munn, 501 East California St., Ridgecrest, CA 93555.

*The date 28 Aug. 1880, was recorded in the Family Bible of Edwin and Elsie Williams SCOTT (It was their belief that it was the date of his parents marriage - not so this is probably the date of the second marriage - wife's name unknown - this wife was the mothe to Viola, Ewell, and Earnest half brothers and sisters.)

***It should be noted here that when I (being Cleo Morrison) joined this family in 1949 several of these the children from the second and third marriage were still living. To my knowledge none of these people ever mentioned that their was another marriage or that two other children existed. What happened to this wife and two sons? There is a marriage of J.R. Scott to Almira Callie McGee is he ours - there does not seem to be another J. R. Scott in the Lamar/Fannin area in 1869.

Card of Thanks.

We want to thank the neighbors and other friends who so kindly aided us in the illness and at the death of our dear mother. Words cannot express our gratitude when we think of all of you did and offered to do for us, and for the beautiful flowers and the consoling words Bro. Smith said. Only the great Heavenly Father in His infinite wisdom can read our hearts and know how you helped us to bear our great sorrow. May God's richest blessings rest on you all.
